Philosophy: We believe in being a learning organisation and the whole team being involved in training you.

  • Teamworking is the lynchpin of Primary Care and we do our best to foster a stimulating, supported, working and learning environment. The trainee is immediately integrated into the team and we welcome your input in helping us to improve.
  • We have a needy patient group who are an invaluable learning resource and though we work hard, the work is very satisfying.
  • We are very hot on IT and as of 2008-2009 we are integrating cutting-edge IT into our training both for staff and doctors.
  • Though the New GP Curriculum will be the foundation of your training, problem-based learning using PUNs [Patients Unmet Needs] and DENs [Doctors Educational Needs] will be the best path to proficiency and then expertise.

Suitability: If you are a hardworking trainee who wants to be able to handle any situation in the future, no matter how challenging, then come to us and we will train you to be an outstanding GP!
