Understand what is useful to GP in your current
job (the
GP Curriculum may help) and what is for
service provision only. What you can/could
manage in the community and what you would
refer.

Attend outpatient clinics as much as possible.

Handover ? speak to the outgoing SHO.

Get most out of supernumerary posts by being
aware of educational opportunities in the
hospital e.g. clinics.

Start filling assessment forms early. (Don?t get
downbeat by low marks as assessment criteria is
of a high standard and based on are you ready to
be a GP tomorrow.)
